It is pretty difficult to go through modern education without hearing about the Meyer-Briggs Test. It is a test that indicates the how a person views the world and make decisions. Why is this test important? Taking the test and knowing what personality type you have can help you understand why you are compatible with co-workers, friends, family, and why you’re not. In the Meyer-Briggs Test there are sixteen personality types that are composed of four out of eight type preferences; the eight preferences are extraversion (E), sensing (S), thinking (T), judgment (J), introversion (I), intuition (N), feeling (F), perception (P).
Taking the test is very beneficial in order to find what profession you would be suited for based on personality as well as what role you will feel comfortable in group work. For employers, having employees taking the test will allow them to see what personalities are in their workforce and plan accordingly when assigning projects and roles.
The great thing is that your personality changes as you experience new things and grow. So a personality type you have when you’re 20 can be a completely different from the type when you’re 21. So you can take the test many times throughout your life.
