Crying: Express and Let it Out

⁣⁣”Why am I feeling like this?” You say as a teardrop escapes from your eyes. One thing to note is that we are all human beings. Therefore, it is part of our nature to express our feelings, which includes crying.⠀ ⠀

We have all have heard the saying, “crying makes us weak.” In all honesty, crying is not weak. It is healthy to cry as we relieve ourselves from the pain, hardship, and any stresses contained within. A study from the University of Minnesota found that crying (triggered by emotions) improves 88% of people’s mood and helps with healing, boosting immunity, and reducing anger and stress levels. ⠀ ⠀

In addition, crying allows us to reexamine situations and learn how to proceed from them to make our lives better. Basically, crying is a warning sign that needs to be expressed and seen. Whenever you feel that you need to cry, even if it is a little, let it all out. It will do you no good to lock those feelings inside for them to come out later unexpectedly. ⠀ ⠀

Crying is not a form of weakness as it is a way for us to relieve our feelings and figure out our next course of action in a situation. We must take care of each other and ourselves, expressing how we truly feel to overcome our obstacles. ⠀ ⠀
